There is always excitement in planning an outdoor escape, and there is always disappointment when a trip gets cancelled. BookMyHikes handles its own ground operations, so cancellations from our end are rare. If a trek is cancelled by the trekker or due to unforeseen circumstances, weather conditions, government regulations, or any reason beyond our control, the following cancellation rules apply. Cancellation requests must be shared in writing, and charges are effective from the date we receive the written request.

50% Invoice amount deducted towards GST, transactions, accommodation, ration, permits, equipment, trek leaders, and related costs.
50% Trek Voucher Refunded as a trek voucher with 1 year validity.
1-6 Days Before Trek Start Final-stage cancellation once trek execution is fully prepared.
100% Full invoice amount deducted as arrangements are already made by BookMyHikes.

Trek voucher policy

To ease cancellation fees, BookMyHikes offers a trek voucher with a 12-month validity from the date of issue. After applicable cancellation deductions, the remaining amount is refunded only in the form of a trek voucher that can be used for any trek, tour, or yatra with BookMyHikes.

Once you email bookmyhikes@gmail.com, our team will respond within 24 working hours with cancellation details and applicable voucher information.

Voucher rules and redemption

Once the trek voucher is issued, it cannot be reissued or changed.
The trek voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
The voucher amount can be used on any trek, tour, or yatra booked with BookMyHikes.
The voucher must be used exactly for the number of persons for whom it was issued.
The voucher is used to settle due amounts and cannot be redeemed to generate a cash refund.
If you are unable to join personally, you may gift the voucher to a family member.
The voucher cannot be extended beyond its expiry date.
Once redeemed, the used amount cannot be reissued if the new booking is cancelled.
To redeem a voucher, you must email 15 to 20 days before the trip date at bookmyhikes@gmail.com.
